Avila House Feast Day

On Wednesday, Avila House celebrated our first ever Feast Day. We began the day with a Liturgy, in which Ronan talked to us about St. Teresa of Avila's life and encouraged us to reflect on the similarities between the lives of Saint Teresa, Miss Beary and Cornelia Connelly - all of whom teach us so much about the importance of faith, joy and love.

We gathered together for cookies and hot chocolate at breaktime, and then treated the rest of the school to some of our homemade bakes at our lunchtime cake sale. Unfortunately we don't have many photos of the cakes as they sold out so quickly! We raised over £170, which will be donated to our whole school charity, Maggie's.
