'Sleep Out' Fundraiser

On Friday night a group of Mayfield girls slept outside to experience a glimpse of the reality of what homeless people go through. The event was organised by Mayfield's Justice and Peace group in support of the Cardinal Hume Centre, a non-profit organisation, which helps families, children and young people to overcome poverty and avoid homelessness in London. Without phones, access to creature comforts or the general privileges of their daily lives, the idea was to create an experience that was as authentic as possible. To date, the girls have raised over £3,000!
