Super League Netball Players Inspire Mayfield Girls

Over the past few weeks, our students have had the incredible opportunity to train with Super League netball players Tyler Orr and Nichole Breedt. These two professional athletes visited Mayfield twice, leading inspiring and challenging workshops that allowed our students to develop their netball skills and tactical awareness, as well as giving our girls a firsthand look at what it takes to compete at an elite level. Building on this experience, 38 students travelled to the Copper Box Arena in London on Sunday to see Tyler and Nichole in action. Watching London Pulse take on Nottingham Forest was an unforgettable experience, made even more special by the fantastic courtside seats.  

After the game, the students had the chance to meet the players, ask questions, and take selfies with members of the London Pulse squad, including England Roses stars Funmi Fadoju, Liv Tchine, Halimat Adio, Zara Everitt, and Alicia Scholes. Seeing their coaches perform at such a high level reinforced the lessons from the workshops and provided a powerful source of motivation.
