At Mayfield, we promote physical wellbeing and help students build lifelong habits of self-care through sport and outdoor activity.

Years 7 to 11
Girls in Years 7–11 take part in PE lessons three times a week. Please see the kit requirements listed below.

Sixth Form (Years 12 & 13)
In the Sixth Form, students have a choice of sports during Games. A variety of options will be presented in the first week of the Autumn Term. Once your daughter has made her selection, you can purchase the appropriate kit from the School Shop.

Team Sports Kit
Students selected for any 1st Team will need to purchase specific kit in addition to their standard sportswear:

• 1st Team (general): Sweat top, skort, and polo shirt (currently navy and red)

• Swimming 1st Team: Red swimming cap

• Equestrian Elite Team: Red Mayfield Equestrian base layer top, Mayfield Silk, and Numnah

**Please note: It is compulsory that all pupils wear a gum guard when playing Hockey. Hockey Team players will generally want to get these properly fitted through their own dentist. The School Shop only sells self impression mouthguards.
